Laxative, Antacid
Uses
Laxative: Relieves occasional constipation (irregularity). This product usually causes bowel movement in 1/2 to 6 hours. Antacid: Relieves: heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, upset stomach associated with these symptoms. Very low sodium. Stimulant free. Convenient tablets.
Directions
Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period. Laxative: Dose may be taken once in a 24 hour period preferably at bedtime, in divided doses, or as directed by a doctor. Drink a full glass (8 oz) of liquid with each laxative dose. Adults and children 12 years and older: Chew 8 tablets. Children 6 to 11 years: Chew 4 tablets. Children 3 to 5 years: Chew 2 tablets. Children under 3 years: Ask a doctor. Antacid: Take every 4 hours up to 4 times in a 24 hour period of as directed by a doctor. Adults and children 12 years and older: Chew 2 to 4 tablets. Children under 12 years: Ask a doctor.
Warnings
Ask a doctor before use if you have: kidney disease; stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting; a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 14 days. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug. Antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs. Stop use and ask a doctor if: Laxative: you have rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using this product. These could be signs of a serious condition; you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week. Antacid: you have taken the maximum dose for 2 weeks; product has a laxative effect. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
